Robert Kost (b.1936, Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, d. 2003, Lac du Bonnet) studied in Winnipeg at the Mechanical Drafting School, and in 1960 began his career as a self-taught painter, capturing the landscape and life of the people of Manitoba and the prairies. He exhibited in major centers across Canada, and his work is found in many private and public collections.
