Born, Montreal. Studied under Arthur Lismer and Goodridge Roberts at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. He later attended the Art Student's League in New York City. His city scape paintings are set in Old Quebec and Montreal. His works document old-world streets and architecture with assurance and individuality. He became an associate of the Royal Canadian Academy in 1961. His paintings are represented in the National Gallery of Canada.
