Available Artwork by Celia Neubauer
Celia Neubauer’s paintings explore the ephemeral beauty and fleeting passage of the serendipitous image. Through the subtractive and additive action of a brush, Neubauer allows her imagery to materialize, bringing out a tenuous play between obliteration and recovery. She is a Toronto based artist who received her BFA from York University in 1986 and Higher Diploma in 1990 from the Slade School of Fine Art in London, England. She has taught as a part-time lecturer at the University of Toronto School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, the University of Guelph and, most recently, as a sessional instructor of painting and drawing at Queens University in Kingston.
